BarCode Solution Systems offers full-service, factory-authorized repairs for virtually all makes and models of bar coding equipment that we provide. Factory-trained technicians provide complete maintenance and repair services on all models of Zebra printers, Motorola scanners/mobile computers, and other printers/devices by different manufacturers as well.
The best way to budget and manage your repair and maintenance expenses is to purchase a low-cost annual maintenance contract.  Contracts give you complete annual coverage and while providing you with the confidence in knowing that your equipment will be repaired with priority handling throughout the year. Various contract options are available, along with different response-times including standard, next day, same day and advance replacement.
Printer or mobile computer downtime can cost 100 to 10,000 times more than a service contract!  BarCode Solution Systems recommends factory-authorized service contracts on all equipment we provide.  

Printer Repair Contracts

Zebra Authorized Service Provider

Options for printer repair contracts include On-Site Service (we come to you) and Depot Service (you send the printer to one of our repair facilities).  Two- and three-year contracts are also available at extended savings. Each option has its own advantages:

Depot Service:

  • Economical contracts available for Mobile, Desktop and Tabletop models
  • Covers all labor and parts (excluding batteries, printheads and accessories)
  • Includes complete preventative maintenance checks
  • Standard contracts offer three- to five-day service turnaround
  • Advantage contracts offer all Standard features plus 2-day (or better) turnaround plus free firmware upgrades upon request
  • Advantage Overnight contracts include everything in the Advantage plan, plus free next-business-day return shipping
  • Advantage PLUS contracts involve Zebra storage of a maintenance pool of your printers, up to 6% of your inventory, for same-day exchange and free overnight shipping

On-Site Service:

  • Eliminates the need for you to ship printers to our facility(ies)
  • Available for Tabletop models only
  • Standard coverage gets factory-trained technician to your door within 48 hours and covers all travel, labor and parts (excluding printheads and accessories)
  • Advantage Next-Day Response includes Standard coverage with a next-business-day response time (on requests received before 4:30pm ET)
  • Advantage PLUS Same Day Response, available in select locations gets a technician to your door within 4 hours on requests placed before 1:30pm ET 

Service from the Start

Service from the Start programs provide multiple years of repair coverage for Motorola devices at a one-time cost, with protection that begins from the date of purchase. Equipment is covered for repairs above and beyond standard warranty and includes engineering changes/updates that are not available under warranty or non-contract repair. Benefits also include priority telephone response time and enhanced wear-and-tear service coverage. 
Select the "Bronze" program for 3-day in-house turnaround time or the "Gold" program for next business-day advance replacement. For eligible products, both programs are available with Comprehensive Coverage, which extends normal wear and tear repair coverage to include accidental breakage of cracked plastics, broken screens, keypads and more.

Non-Contract Repairs

For those who prefer to handle their equipment service on an "as needed" basis, BarCode Solution Systems has solutions for you as well.  Simply contact your Systems Consultant for current pricing on standard Time and Material repairs.  Both on-site and depot options are offered for printers; depot-only for scanners and mobile computers.  While turn-around times are not as fast for non-contract repairs, we do everything possible to get your equipment returned to original working condition quickly and economically.  A Purchase Order or credit card are required up front for all non-contract repairs.
